Inmex is a German company offering energy-saving 'plug-and-play' plasticising technology for injection moulding machines and extruders. The heating elements are integrated directly in the barrel wall – the heat goes exactly where it is needed and energy consumption for heating drops by up to 55 %.
With a conventional barrel, heat is transferred from the band heater across an air gap to the barrel shell and only then to the material; part of the power is lost to the surroundings. Inmex barrels have the heating built into the barrel body and an insulated shell: heating is faster, uniform around the entire circumference and without local overheating.
Inmex plasticising units can be retrofitted to machines from all manufacturers. Wermaly provides consultancy, savings calculation, supply and installation in Slovakia.
